PODCAST EPISODE #13: Elevating common ground.

I met Ray Prock Jr. years ago at a Twitter conference in Seattle. He’s a dairy farmer and an influential presence in the agriculture world in terms of leading discussions about the industry and the role of social media and tech’s impact on it. I like Ray a lot because while we come from different backgrounds that would be considered “opposing” to some, Ray and I both care more about what we have in common with each other than the popular approach of reducing cognitive dissonance in order to serve a specific side or status quo. Critical thinking is a lost art and we want to help bring it back however we can. If we all spent more time learning about those that are different than ourselves, seeking out common ground as much as today’s internet seeks out reasons to argue, the world would be a much better place.
